Baltimore Watercolor Society
A Mid-Atlantic Organization of Watermedia Artists
While once confined to Baltimore, this non-profit organization now offers its members the opportunity to display their work in galleries stretching from the Eastern Shore to the mountains of Western Maryland as well as the suburbs of Washington, D.C. In addition, the Society hosts painting demonstrations and lectures, workshops, peer critiques, a monthly newsletter, bus trips to major exhibitions, and the opportunity to paint on location with other artists.
How to Join
Paintings are juried for the Signature Artist level of membership twice each year in March and October. You are also eligible for Signature membership if you have been accepted in the Mid-Atlantic 3 times.
You may join as an Associate member at any time. Membership fees are $30 for Signature Artist members and $20 for Associates.
To join, go to http://bws.onefireplace.com. Artists can join as Associate members by clicking on the Join Us link. To see details and apply for signature membership in the next jurying event, click on “Public Events” and register for the October 5, 2013 jury event.

Next Jurying for New Signature Artist Members
The next jurying for Signature Artist Members will be held in October 5, 2013.
Drop-off time: Between 1:00 and 1:30 PM
Location: Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City, Maryland
Pick-up time: No earlier than 3:00 PM but no later than 3:30 PM

Manage Your Membership
Review and Modify Your Profile
Members can manage their membership profile at our membership site. To review and modify your profile (address, contact information, information about teaching) follow this link http://bws.onefireplace.com, then follow these steps.
- Login with your email address and password (select reset password if you have forgotten it and an email will be sent to you with instructions to change the password)
- Click on the small “View Profile” link right below the email and password
- After the Profile page appears, click on the “Edit Profile” button near the top
- Change any of the data that is displayed.
- Click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the profile.
Managing What Others Can See About You
If you want to alter what is visible in your record, return to the Home page, click on the small “View Profile” link in the lower left panel, then click on the “Privacy” link. You will see three columns, “Anyone,” “Members,” and “No Access.” If the circle under “Anyone” is filled in, the Public can see this data. If the circle under “Members” is filled in, then Members can see the data, but not the Public. If the circle under “No Access” is filled in, then that information is only available to you and BWS Board members who are administrators of our account. If you want to change who can see your information click on “Edit Profile” near the top of the page. To change a setting click on the circle under “Anyone,” “Members,” or “No Access” based on how you want the data shared. To turn off sharing of any of your information, then remove the check mark next to the “Allow” to show profile setting by clicking on the check box.
