American Watercolor Society Exhibition at the Salmagundi CLub in New York City BUS TRIP

You will be viewing this exhibition before the general public arrives!
Congratulations to seven of our Baltimore Watercolor Society artists whose paintings were selected for the exhibition, the most prestigious watercolor exhibition in the United States. Three of them have had paintings accepted three times and thus have now attained AWS Signature Member status!
You will have more than enough time to view this exhibition and 4 hours of “free time “ in the afternoon before we leave New York!
This bus trip is being offered to members of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, the Annapolis Watercolor Club members and their guests.
Guests are paid for by the participant making the registration.
You may invite only one guest, 13 years or older.
Registration begins February 15, 2024
Registration closes on April 6th or when full, whichever comes first.
Cost: $85 per person (including all guests)

Schedule for Saturday April 13, 2024
6:30 am - 11:00 pm.
There are two chartered bus pickup locations:
8550 Veterans Highway
Millersville MD 21108.
This is on the east side of the I-97 and Benfield Road Interchange.

- Arrive no later than 6:30 am with prompt departure at 6:45 am.

- Eileen Hempel will check people in at the Millersville Park & Ride.

Timonium Park & Ride (Deereco)
2299 Greenspring Drive
Timonium MD 21093.

- Arrive no later than 7:15 am, with prompt departure at 7:30 am.

- Matt Fenton will check people in at the Timonium Park & Ride.
11:15 am. The bus will arrive at the Salmagundi Club. We will the enter the Salmagundi Club to view the American Watercolor Society Exhibit early at 11:30 am exclusively for us instead of the normal 1:00 pm opening time.
1:15 pm prompt bus departure from the Salmagundi Club to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the MET) at 1000 5th Avenue at 82nd Street.
6:00 pm we will board the bus which will be waiting in front of the MET for the return to Maryland.
6:15 pm prompt departure from the MET.
Important: If you are not on the bus by 6:15 pm at the MET, we will assume that you have made other plans to return to Maryland.
You MUST INFORM the Trip Organizer if you will NOT be returning to Baltimore on our bus. This is critical!
Drop Off:
- Timonium Park and Ride at 10:30 pm
- Millersville Park and Ride at 11:00 pm
Cancellation Policy:
- 75% refunds if notified on or before March 20, 2023.
- 50% refund if notified March 21 through April 6, 2023.
- No refund after April 6, 2023
Important:
Registration is dependent upon reading and agreeing to the "Release and Indemnity" waiver that is included on the Registration form.

A light snack will be provided on the bus after boarding.
In order to have a longer afternoon of free time, there is no time allowed to go out for lunch before entering the Salmagundi Club. Registrants are therefore encouraged to bring their own lunch and consume it prior to 11:15, when we arrive at the Salmagundi.
For dinner you may grab a quick bite at a local restaurant in the area, at a cafe in the MET or buy something from a food truck in front of the MET.

NOTE: Museum fees are not included in this event fee. Here are some locations that you may want to visit near the drop off point at the MET entrance.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art admission: Adult: $30, Senior: $22, Student: $17.
- Guggenheim Museum, 1071 5th Avenue, between 88th and 89th, admission $30, seniors and students $19.
- Jewish Museum, 1109 5th Ave at 92nd St, admission: Adult: $18, Seniors: $12, students: $8
- Museum of the City of New York, twenty blocks north at 1220 5th Ave, admission $20, seniors and students $14, under 19 free. A current exhibit of wonderfully detailed watercolors by Frederick Brosen of the Four Seasons of Central Park.
Mask Policy:
We highly encourage all bus riders to wear a mask for your safety in close quarters and to protect any in our midst at high risk or with vulnerable family members. Should any city, county, or state mask mandate occur during the time of our trip, said mandate will be strictly enforced for all bus passengers.
